Hola everyone! My name is Ariagna Hernandez, and I am currently a first-year student planning to double concentrate in Computer Science and Sociology and possibly earn an engaged scholar certificate. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, it has been an adjustment to move more than 3,000 miles away from home, but I could not be happier about my decision to attend Brown and to be a Presidential Scholar. My high school experience has always been enriched by the passion projects I created throughout my high school years and my positive influence on my community. By combining my interest in computer science with my desire to make a positive social impact, I hope to inspire and help not only the Brown community, but thousands of communities around the world. Being able to take part in the Presidential Scholars Program gives me the opportunity to contribute to my community and make a positive impact, either through research or through the creation of my own passion project.
