My name is Javed and I'm from Queens, New York, double-concentrating in Business Economics and Behavioral Decision Sciences. I'm fascinated by the intersection of storytelling, business, and decision-making. On campus, I'm a member of various finance and consulting groups, and in my free time, I enjoy creative writing and sports. I'm happy to be part of PSP!
Research
For my spring research, I worked with Professor Rebecca Liu to investigate global narratives of indentured servitude across various media. My role involved analyzing texts from different countries to identify common themes and demonstrate how these stories form a global, rather than local, history. A key part of my work was building an interactive map and website to make these narratives accessible and engaging. This experience taught me how modern tools can challenge historical gaps and bring forgotten voices back into the public conversation. It was a rewarding project!
