Kellie Louis
Biography
Fun Fact: This year I grew a sunflower that was 7 feet tall.
Hi my name is Kellie, I'm from central Maryland. I plan on double-concentrating in Computer Science and either Linguistics, Statistics, or HIAA. I really like these subjects because they give me the opportunity to analyze things, whether it be data/algorithms or art. I'm excited to be part of PSP because it gives me the opportunity to be a part of research and internships. Outside of school my favorite hobbies include gardening, sewing, and cooking.
Research
This summer I worked with the CNTR (Center for Technological Responsibility, Reimagination, and Redesign) at Brown on a project titled 'Technologies as Prosthetics'. It focuses on exploring the connection between technology and disability, focusing on different inventions throughout history that were intially made to aid disabled people. I worked on designing the website and coding the experience for the first invention we cover. I learned how much I love UI/UX design!
