Sarah Knox
Biography
Fun Fact: My dream vacation is to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
My name is Sarah Knox and I am from just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I intend to concentrate in Earth, Climate, and Biology, with the hopes to go on to be a marine scientist. I have always been interested in the science field and more specifically doing something involving oceanic life. Outside of school I enjoy swimming, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. I am honored to be a part of this program and cannot wait to see what I am able to achieve with the mentoring that it provides!
Research
During this past year, I have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Kim Cobb in her lab at Brown. My main project in the lab is a community science project that focuses on Rhode Island hydrology. I work to analyze precipitation trends, water isotopes, and salinity. Through this work, I have learned about the work flow of a lab and become a better researcher.
