Biography

Fun Fact: I play a lot of pickleball

I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in the NYC suburbs. I plan to concentrate in Geophysics and Climate Physics, and Computer Science. I'm looking forward to meeting people with similar interests and learning from mentors and advisors. In my free time, I enjoy listening to and practicing music, reading, and trying new things to eat.

Research

This past summer, I worked with professor Abigail Bodner in the MIT Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences Dept. We are working on using machine learning techniques to predict the upper ocean “mixing” based on limited satellite data. This is important as the upper layer is what interacts with the atmosphere and is responsible for much of the carbon and oxygen exchanging that drives major climate cycles. I learned a lot about modeling physical processes and different machine learning techniques.
