Hey! My name is Jordan Obiekwe and I'm from New York City. I have a strong passion for urban inequality and business, and I hope to combine the two in the future! At Brown, I’m excited to take full advantage of the Open Curriculum to discover even more interests. Outside of academics, I'm a hardcore extrovert, so I can't wait to experience Brown’s dynamic and collaborative community!
Research
This past summer I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to London as part of a Brown course that doubled as an immersive research experience. My two leading professors were Jonathan Readey and Ravit Reichman-- who were truly amazing and passionate about the subject. I explored the city through the stories of its surrounding literature and residents, examining how Londoners’ diversity shapes the city's sense of identity. One key takeaway from this experience was realizing how firsthand and literary narratives can serve as data, revealing points that traditional statistics could miss.
