Biography

Fun fact: I write with my left hand but throw with my right hand.

Hello! I'm Will and I'm from Little Falls, New York. I have loved chemistry for a long time and intend to be a chemistry concentrator. PSP has been a great opportunity for me to meet new people and get started on research. Outside of PSP I am an avid sports fan and currently play on the club Quidditch team here. I also love playing video games such as Mortal Kombat.

I spent this past summer doing research in Professor Basu's lab. My project involved studying the reduction rates of Yariv reagents, an organic compound used for studying plant cells. This project just a small part of the research Professor Basu does on Yariv reagents. Day to day work involved designing and running experiments to monitor rate and analyzing the experimental data. Throughout the summer, I have learned a lot, but the most important thing I've learned is patience. Often times, experiments don't go as expected or something goes wrong, so you have to be patient and keep trying new things to find what you're looking for.
